Clarity IoT Nodes and solutions

Clarity IoT DC Powered Wired Node

The Clarity IoT DC Power Sensor Node is ideal for installations where Power is readily available. This node comes with a power cord which can be plugged in to bring power to the unit. Each AC Powered Sensor node can accommodate up to 4 sensors.  Depending on proximity of the unit/area to be monitored, one node can accommodate multiple sensors.

Clarity IoT Battery powered Temperature/Humidity Node

For installations where there is no Power, there is no Ethernet and where Temperature and Humidity need to be recorded, we offer the Clarity IoT Battery Powered Temperature/Humidity Sensor. This sensor is powered by a 9V battery which can last up to 450 days (reporting in every 4 hours).

Clarity IoT Ethernet Powered Node

For installations where there is no readily available AC power but where an Ethernet cable can be run, we offer the Clarity IoT Power over Ethernet (POE) Sensor Node. This node includes two Sensor ports that can be configured with any of the available for installation.

Clarity IoT Customer Feedback Module

Stand alone 4 position survey input system, with Optional battery.

Clarity IoT Handheld Temperature Probe

Interfaces directly to the Clarity Automated Compliance Checklist (CA2C) and the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) dashboard. Readings are automatically stored into your checklist. Per your customer HACCP procedures, all readings are stored directly with user info, temperature reading, time recorded (CA2C Subscription required). Non-CA2C users get automatic email of digital time and temp.

Clarity IoT Dishwasher Reporting Module

Stand alone sealed module, no buttons, switches or display. Just place withing the dishwasher 3 – 4 times a day per your Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan and automatedly recordes and time stamps your reading.  Per your customer HACCP procedures all readings are stored directly with User info, temperature reading, time recorded (CA2C Subscription required). Non-CA2C users get automatic email of digital time and temp.

Plug and Play Sensors Available

The Wired and Battery Operated 4-port sensor node can be customized with up to four (4) of the following sensors.

AC Current Meter​

AC Current Meters measure the RMS current of an alternating current (AC) system using a current transformer (CT) that wraps around the “hot” wire of a two wire (hot, common, ground(optional)) power system. The sensor reports Minimum RMS current, maximum RMS current, average RMS current, and amp hours to the Clarity IoT system. The Clarity IoT system is capable of generating watt hour or kilowatt hour readings as well.

Accelerometer

Accelerometers can be used in a host of applications where knowing impact, vibration, inclination, etc. is required. The accelerometer – tilt sensor activates at a set time interval (defined by user) and converts accelerometer measurements to pitch and roll (0 to 180° -> -180° to 0°). The data is displayed in degrees with 0.1° of resolution.

Airflow

Airflow to measure airflow thru airduct or controlled environment, also used to determine if filters require replacement

Carbon Monoxide

Imminent danger of CO poisoning is a growing concern in the care for elderly, child and immuno-compromised individuals. Helps meet the growing demand of legislative and public concerns regarding the monitoring of gas leaks and emissions.

Seat-Occupancy

Wireless seat occupancy sensors use a stress plate with an integrated flexible, stress sensitive ribbon to accurately measure when (force) is applied to the plate.

Current Sensor

Current Sensor, 0-20mA current meters are capable of measuring the current off another device or sensor, up to 20mA (DC), by connecting the leads of the sensor to the positive and ground terminals of the device being measured. Examples of interfacing devices include, but are not limited to: Current transducers (CTs) with outputs up to 20 mA, pH sensor, dissolved oxygen sensor, pressure sensor, magnetic flow meters, velocity or acceleration sensors, industrial vibration sensors, industrial accelerometers, any kind of sensor that specifies the output is in (mA) within the range of 0 – 20mA.

Door Open/Close Sensor

Open/Closed sensors provide information on the status of doors, windows, cabinets, etc. Know if a building or area is being accessed when it should not be, or if a door or window has been left open.

Dry Contact

Dry contact sensors can be used to detect contact between two wired contact points.

DC Voltage Meter (Low)

DC Current Meters measure the current of an (DC) system. The sensor reports Minimum current, maximum current, average current, and amp hours to the Clarity IoT system. The Clarity IoT system is capable of generating watt hour or kilowatt hour readings as well.

DC Voltage Detection (High)

Wireless voltage meters are capable of measuring the voltage off another device, battery, or sensor.

Illumination Sensor

Wireless light meters measure the intensity of light in lux (luminescence/unit area), from 0 – 1000 lux (indoor range). Perfect for light sensitive applications like museum and art gallery light monitoring.

Light Meter

Luminosity measure of radiated of a radiant power emitted by a light-emitting object. Examples for Luminosity meter use:

  1. Determine of light in a room is on/off
  2. Determine if an equipment is on/off
  3. Determine life cycle of equipment

 

From collection this data the Clarity IoT system can determine, Room cycles, equipment hours, life cycles and others.

Indoor Air Toxin Sensor

The Clarity IoT Air Toxin Sensor is a combination of 6 sensors that can detect temperature, relative humidity, PM2.5, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds. 

Liquid Level

Level sensors detect the level of liquids and other fluids and fluidized solids, including slurries, granular materials, and powders that exhibit an upper free surface. The substance to be measured can be inside a container or can be in its natural form (e.g., a river or a lake). The level measurement can be either continuous or point values. Continuous level sensors measure level within a specified range and determine the exact amount of substance in a certain place, while point-level sensors only indicate whether the substance is above or below the sensing point. Generally, the latter detect levels that are excessively high or low.

Magnet Detection

Solid state magnetic detector consists of position/proximity and speed modules.  Used to monitor door position, equipment position/usage and others.

Motion Detection

Solid state motion detection accelerometer, tilt, vibration are some of the solutions that can be satisfied with motion

Wireless motion sensors use an infrared sensing technology to accurately detect movements made by people/animals within 16.4 ft (5 m) range.

Pressure Meter

The wireless grains per pound sensors measure the mass in grains of H2O in otherwise dry air. Put simplistically, the measurement is the weight of water in air.

RFID Asset Tracker

Wireless asset sensor can be attached to an asset or object and outputs an RF signal at set intervals to be received by the gateway and monitoring system. Gateway Required.

Temperature Probe

Wireless temperature sensors use a thermistor to accurately measure temperatures. These sensors are perfect for monitoring ambient temperatures around the sensors physical location.

Vibration Sensor

The wireless accelerometer – G-Force max & avg sensor samples at 800 Hz over a 10 second period, and reports the measured MAXIMUM value for each axis in g-force and the AVERAGE measured g-force on each axis over the same period, for all three axes.

Zwave / Zigbee Interface

Our Clarity IoT gateway has the ability to control / detect most off the shelf ZWave and Zigbee sensors.  such as wireless door sensors, light control modules and many others.

GPS-Asset-Tracker

The wireless accelerometer – G-Force snapshot sensor activates at a set time interval (defined by user) and measures g-force along X, Y and Z axes. Primary use is as an inclinometer or tilt sensor.

Clarity IOT Gateways and Controllers

Clarity IOT Vulcan Edge Gateway

The Vulcan Edge is the gateway to the Internet and the backbone to the solution. All traffic from a facility will be processed by the Edge and uploaded to the Cloud. This device includes an Ethernet connection port as well as a WIFI chip for those installations where an Ethernet cable is not available.  This device will typically be installed in the computer server room, manager’s office or another secure type location. In most installations, only 1 Edge will be required.

Included in the Clarity IoT Edge Kit will be the following:

  • (1) Vulcan Edge
  • (1) USB A-B cord
  • (1) Power cord
  • (2) Zip Ties for mounting units
  • Note. Can also be mounted using 2 #4×3/8 mounting screws (not included in the kit)

Clarity IOT Vulcan Controller

The Vulcan Controller receives the all LoRa packets from the automated sensors in the facility and send these packets to the Vulcan Edge (gateway). This device will typically be installed directly connected by supplied cable to the Edge in the computer server room, manager’s office or another secure type location. In most installations, only 1 Vulcan Controller will be required.

Included in the Clarity IoT Controller Kit will be the following:

  • (1) Clarity IOT Controller
  • (1) Power cord
  • (2) Zip Ties for mounting units
  • Note: Can also be mounted using 2 #4×3/8 mounting screws (not included in the kit)
