LoRa Based IoT Sensors and Hardware

Add Long-Range/Low-Powered Sensors to your IoT Network

The Clarity IoT Sensors and Hardware are primarily based on the Private wireless LoRa data protocol.

Based on years of research and testing in the field, we believe that a LoRa-based network is the most desirable network protocol for these types of applications.

LoRa is a long-range, low-power wireless platform based on the Semtech LoRa chipset and technology that has become the de-facto technology for Internet of Things (IoT) networks worldwide.
With the ability to broadcast and communicate over very long ranges (more than 10 km in rural areas) with low power consumption.

The ideal IoT wireless Private and Secure platform.

The Clarity IoT Gateway

The Clarity industrial IoT gateway is a highly-secure, programmable IoT edge computing platform that is used to communicate between the LoRa nodes in the field and the Internet.

As an all-in-one solution, it offers powerful capabilities to enable fast IoT deployments.

The Clarity IoT Gateway can be connected to the Internet either through the Ethernet port provided or can be connected to your Existing WIFI Network.

In most cases, only one Clarity IoT Gateway is required per physical location.

Clarity IoT LoRa Node

The new Clarity IoT Universal Bi-directional LoRa node brings many of our most advanced Sensor and LoRa capabilities into this design for the first time.

Under the hood, it includes a powerful STM ARM Cortex microcontroller running at 32Mhz, an I2C expansion port, a programmable Digital-Analog (DAC) output, a serial RS-485 transceiver, an SPI, and a UART expansion port all communicating over a long-range, FCC-certied, LoRa radio.

Pair your Universal LoRa node with one of the following sensor endpoints

The Clarity IoT Universal IoT LoRa node can be configured with one of the following plug-and-play sensors. Contact us for more information.

AC Current Meter

AC Current Meters measure the RMS current of an alternating current (AC) system using a current transformer (CT) that wraps around the “hot” wire of a two-wire (hot, common, ground(optional)) power system. The sensor reports Minimum RMS current, maximum RMS current, average RMS current, and amp hours to the Clarity IoT system. The Clarity IoT system is capable of generating watt hour or kilowatt hour readings as well.<

Accelerometer

Accelerometers can be used in a host of applications where knowing impact, vibration, inclination, etc. is required. The accelerometer – tilt sensor activates at a set time interval (defined by the user) and converts accelerometer measurements to pitch and roll (0 to 180° -> -180° to 0°). The data is displayed in degrees with 0.1° of resolution.

Air Flow

The Clarity Air flow sensor allows the measurement of airflow thru an air duct or a controlled environment.

Air Pressure

The Clarity IoT Air Pressure sensor is an industrial-based sensor that is used to measure the air atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity in the environment in which it is placed.

Air Quality

The Clarity Air Quality Sensor is a simple 12-volt device that you can plug in anywhere in the facility to measure the quality of the air in your environment.

Once installed, it immediately provides you with actionable information regarding the quality of your air on a 24/7 basis. The Air Quality Sensor includes 15 different gas sensors that continuously analyze the air, recording any anomalies and alerting to any harmful gases detected.

CO2

The Clarity IoT CO2 sensor allows you to monitor the level of carbon dioxide in the surrounding air. This sensor has many uses including measuring the CO2 levels in a home, school, or workplace environment to measuring the CO2 levels in an indoor grow room which can have a big influence on plant growth.

Seat-Occupancy

Wireless seat occupancy sensors use a stress plate with an integrated flexible, stress-sensitive ribbon to accurately measure when (force) is applied to the plate.

Door Open/Close Sensor

Open/Closed sensors provide information on the status of doors, windows, cabinets, etc. Know if a building or area is being accessed when it should not be, or if a door or window has been left open.

Dry Contact

Dry contact sensors can be used to detect contact between two wired contact points.

DC Voltage Meter (Low)

DC Current Meters measure the current of a DC system. The sensor reports Minimum current, maximum current, average current, and amp hours to the Clarity IoT system. The Clarity IoT system is capable of generating watt hour or kilowatt hour readings as well.

DC Voltage Detection (High)

Wireless voltage meters are capable of measuring the voltage of another device, battery, or sensor.

Illumination Sensor

Wireless light meters measure the intensity of light in lux (luminescence/unit area), from 0 – 1000 lux (indoor range). Perfect for light-sensitive applications like museum and art gallery light monitoring.

Magnet Detection

A solid-state magnetic detector consists of position/proximity and speed modules.  Used to monitor door position, equipment position/usage, and others.

ModBus Controller

The Clarity IOT Interface to Modbus is a bi-directional RS485 to LoRa Controller. It converts the RS485 devices into LoRa wireless network which simplifies the IoT installation and reduces the installation/maintenance cost.

This controller allows the user to monitor/control equipment with ModBus interfaces and can reach very long ranges. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.

It targets professional wireless sensor network applications such as irrigation systems, smart metering, smart cities, smartphone detection, building automation, and so on.

Motion Detection

Solid state motion detection accelerometer, tilt, and vibration are some of the solutions that can be satisfied with the motion

Wireless motion sensors use infrared sensing technology to accurately detect movements made by people/animals within a 3-meter range.

PAR/PPFD Sensor

The Clarity Wireless PAR/PPFD sensor is a LoRa-based sensor that can be installed at a location to measure the spectrum of light in a room wherever it is placed. There are many applications where knowing the spectrum of light from measuring the light in an indoor Grow room facility to ambient light sensing.

Pressure Meter

The wireless grains per pound sensors measure the mass in grains of H2O in otherwise dry air. Put simplistically, the measurement is the weight of water in the air.

Relay

The Clarity Relay Control gives the user the ability to connect and control any 3V – 24V electrical device to an internet-enabled relay. This interface allows the integrator to control 1 port in a normally ON position.

Soil Mosture

The Clarity Soil Moisture and Temperature Sensor is a contact-less capacitive soil moisture sensor that is used to monitor and record the temperature and humidity of the soil where it is placed. This sensor is suited for more professional installations where long cable runs are a requirement.

The Clarity Temperature sensor is an industrial-based sensor that can be used to measure the temperature in an environment including air temperature,
liquid temperature or the temperature of solid matter.

RFID Asset Tracker

A wireless asset sensor (i.e., RFID tag) can be attached to an asset or object and outputs an RF signal at set intervals to be received by the gateway and monitoring system.

Vibration Sensor

The wireless accelerometer – G-Force max & avg sensor samples at 800 Hz over 10 seconds, and reports the measured MAXIMUM value for each axis in g-force and the AVERAGE measured g-force on each axis over the same period, for all three axes.
